General Basic Awareness Training for Vestas

Description
This course is designed for Vestas employees tasked with the occasional handling of packed dangerous goods, encompassing responsibilities such as loading, unloading, internal handling, storage, and liaising with forwarders and shipping lines for consignments.

The training is for individuals without specific training in either the IATA Basic course or the ADR/IMDG Combined Course. This course aligns closely with regulations governing air freight, sea freight, and road transport of dangerous goods. It covers key areas including:

- Understanding applicable regulations
- Identifying types of dangerous goods
- Assessing hazards associated with dangerous goods
- Defining responsibilities
- Detecting declared and undeclared dangerous goods
- Managing documentation and declarations
- Understanding various modes of transport
- Ensuring safe loading and unloading practices
- Implementing safety and security measures

Access to a comprehensive textbook is provided to aid your learning, which you may download for future reference. The course culminates in a test, and upon successful completion, a downloadable 'awareness' certificate is awarded.

As regulations change periodically, it's crucial to stay updated. We highly recommend completing refresher training every 2 to 5 years to remain compliant.

This course fulfills the requirements in chapter 1.3 and 1.10 of the ADR Agreement and 1.3 and 1.4 the IMDG Code.
